Pecar Park Nature Center

Pecar Park & Nature Center is home to turtles, African Spurred Tortoises , and various other animals our Park Naturalist is able to bring to the Nature Center. For those in the community that enjoy sharing space with animals, this indoor Nature Center is a great location to rent for graduation parties, family reunions, etc. 

This beautiful building boasts high peak ceilings, lots of natural light and a serine setting with large windows overlooking the covered back patio and outdoor playground.  It’s the perfect space to entertain guests of all ages. ​Nearby you will find a playground, a pond, a large community fire pit, and plenty of green space for your own activities.

PECAR PROGRAMMING

CAMPGROUNDS

The campgrounds are primitive sites only.  Each of our 9 campsites has a fire ring, picnic table, and a trash can.  Seven of these sites are full sun sites. We also have two campsites located within Pock Woods that provide shade.

All sites are within walking distance to indoor bathrooms and shower facilities.  The nearby playground, community fire pit, nature center, aviary, and pond are sure to delight all members of your camping party.

  • Township Resident:   $15
  • Non-Township Resident:   $25

Nature Center Rental Information

The Nature Center may be rented by the hour or for the day between 10am and 9pm.  Kayak passes are available for $5 annually. Kayaks are NOT available to rent.
