Care Options at Our Elementary Schools
We understand that every family’s schedule is different, so we offer flexible options to fit your needs:
- AM Care Only –Start the day with structured activities, games, and a safe environment before school begins. Sycamore and Evergreen only.
- PM Care Only – After-school fun, enrichment, and supervised play until pick-up.
- AM & PM Care – Full coverage both before and after school for families needing consistent care. Sycamore and Evergreen only.
- Flex Calendar – A flexible, part-time option for families who don’t need care every day but still want the convenience of a reliable program when needed.
Explorer Extended Care Pricing
Please see our pricing details. If parents/guardians choose to set up an auto pay account, they will receive a 10% discount. This means that a saved credit/debit card MUST be kept on file and used for payment. Pricing is based on the number of days in the month. The auto-pay discount does not apply to other discounts or Flex Calendar days.
All Avon teachers and staff will receive a 20% discount on tuition fees. Please contact WTexplorer@avonfd.org to apply discount. An auto-pay discount does not apply.
A late fee of $25 will be added to accounts not paid in full by the due date.
Please note that recurring late payments may result in the suspension of your access to our services. We encourage you to address any outstanding balances immediately to avoid interruptions. If your account is 10 days past due, your child will be de-enrolled from our program.
Curriculum & Sample Schedules
Each of the school sites will have the same core program components with each school customized to serve the best interests of the students and parents/guardians. Our program prioritizes a safe environment for every student, thus providing parent/guardians a high level of confidence in our team. We also recognize that our program’s success is driven by student voice and choice; therefore, we place a high level of importance on listening to student input and acting upon student ideas.

Financial Assistance Information
Washington Township Parks (WTP) seeks to provide opportunities for all to participate in the Explorer Extended Care (EEC) program by providing park funded scholarships to families currently attending the Avon Community School Corporation. We do not accept any government funded programs unless they pay by E-check or credit card through your personal account.
